Who are we?
Finua.org was founded the first day of the war in Ukraine in 2022. We are Ukrainians and Finns living in Finland. Initially we thought we would just temporarily help Ukrainians arriving in Finland by providing information on the website for a few weeks.
However, the situation did not change and today, more than 1.5 years later, the operation has grown and we have gained significant traction and support. Right now we are FinUA-yhdistys ry, a registered non-profit association.

How do we help?
Arrival and integrating into a new country is a challenging process. We publish vital and comprehensive information on finua.org for Ukrainians who have moved to Finland.
We help non-English speaking Ukrainian refugees to find jobs, to seek the right kind of help, such as psychological support, and build a bright future in Finland. We also answer their questions in our chat support.
How do we work? Principles of operation
💻 Digital-first.
We do not have an office. We operate completely online, using software.
🚪 Single-door principle.
We connect those who need help and those who give help as efficiently as possible, without additional links through our website.
🤝 Collaboration
Just like in a startup, if you are everything, you are nothing, really. FinUA is not trying to be everything, we are trying to be the best at dispatching people to the correct type of help. We accomplish our mission by collaborating with different NGOs, social workers and for-profits.
🟢 Accessibility
Everyone can access our platform online regardless of geo location, mobility and age.
🔓 Open source
Made with already existing tools, we streamline our process to ensure speed.
👽 Transparency
FinUA is a completely volunteer-based initiative. We support it with our own money. In a spirit of transparency, this is our accounting FinUA Accounting
